The Blabdroids launch the « Story Matter » Hackathon at Lift Conference 2014, Geneva

From February 5th to 7th, Lift is partnering with the CineGlobe Film Festival at CERN to launch the upcoming “Story Matter” Hackathon, taking place March 15-19 2014 at CERN.

During the conference, the CineGlobe team is being accompanied by small robots – the BlabDroids. Alexander Reben conceived a prototype of these robots during his work at MIT. The Blabdroids interview Lift visitors while filming them. They are visiting Switzerland for the first time exclusively for the CineGlobe Festival.

“Story Matter” Hackathon is a first ever international summit to create new media stories with technology and science – and inform science with technology and stories. From March 15th – March 19th in Geneva, Switzerland at the world renowned CERN, The European Organization for Nuclear Research, teams of filmmakers hand chosen for their artistic and storytelling skills, cutting edge technologists, and field leading scientists will combine forces to discover and create works of art only able to exist because of the fusion of these.

The event will take place as part of the CineGlobe International Film Festival.
