CineGlobe Film Festival 2017
Full Program

CineGlobe is happy to announce that the Full Program for the 2017 edition of the Film Festival is now available on the official website!

The CineGlobe Film Festival 2017 invites you from 21 to 26 March, at the Globe of Science and Innovation at CERN with various activities and special events.

First and foremost, the very heart of the festival is the short film competition, centered around the theme of Myths and realities. With more than 1000 participants from all around the world, the committee selected 92 short films, between fiction and documentary, and will be projecting them for you throughout the festival.

The special nights, scheduled to take place every evening during the six days of the festival, will include feature films, apéros and discussions around various topics, all related to the central theme of the festival. The programming is diverse, ranging from the projection of the epic film HyperNormalisation, by Adam Curtis, to the audiovisual performance Third Law, a co-creation of composer Roly Porter and video artist Marcel Weber, presented in collaboration with the Mapping Festival.

With an inedited Hackathon, the Post Fact Hack, and a unique 48 Hour Film  Project focused on Virtual Reality and science-fiction, CineGlobe invites you to take an active part in original initiatives.

The audiovisual workshops, during the weekends, will welcome participants of every age to get immersed in the world of cinema even more deeply. Come create your own camera using an old milk carton, scape and play with 35mm film, make a film inspired by the decor and style of Georges Méliès, and discover the virtual camera used in the blockbuster film Ghost in the Shell.

In addition, CineGlobe offers two installations. The VR Shelter will allow you to leave the real world behind to immerse yourself in the virtual reality, while a projection mapping, made in collaboration with the local artist François Moncarey, will trasform the entrance ramp of the Globe in a journey through time and space, all by taking the public to the main hall.

With all this and much more, CineGlobe is waiting for you!

The festival is totally free and accessible to everyone.
