Orbit.2 in St-Genis-Pouilly the 13th of October

CineGlobe collaborates with the city of Saint-Genis-Pouilly for a family day focused on art and science in the cosy Theatre Le Bordeau.

From 11 am to 4 pm, discover the little CineGlobe with a selection of short films (ages 3 and up) for children, low-tech cinema workshops (zoetrope and tetrapak cinema), and a complimentary snack.
From 5 pm to 8 pm, our art and science program invites you to explore the documentary The Universe in a Grain of Sand, which delves into how scientists and artists use their understanding of nature to probe the mysteries of the universe, followed by a panel discussion and an aperitif.

Workshops

11:50am – Zoetrope animation workshop
The zoetrope workshop introduces participants to the origins of animation by creating sequential images that come to life through a rotating device.
Children learn to draw and assemble a series of images that, when spun, create the illusion of motion.
Duration : 1 hour

3pm – How do you make a camera out of a Tetra Pak and take a photo with it?
During the Tetra Pak Camera workshop, you will build your own camera and learn how to develop photos with coffee and vitamin C.
The number of places is extremely limited, so book as soon as possible.
Duration : 1 hour
