CineGlobe | Harmonies Lumineuses | BIG

⚠️⛈️CANCELLED – AUG 21 (WEATHER)
BIG – Biennale of Independent Art Spaces of Geneva

BIG is a free biennial event that brings together Geneva’s independent art collectives and venues.
For its 6th edition and 10th anniversary, it gathers nearly 100 collectives in a spirit of sharing, boldness, and experimentation.
In 2025, it takes place in the Bois de la Bâtie, transformed into an ephemeral village blending installations, workshops, and site-specific projects.

Les Harmonies Lumineuses × CineGlobe

The duo Les Harmonies Lumineuses, formed by Davide Caforio – a former subnuclear physics researcher turned moving-image specialist and technical collaborator at Cinélux – and Rossella Mezzina – translator, interpreter, and cultural mediator who has worked in alternative film production and distribution in Madrid – explore the intersection of sound and image.
For La BIG, they lead two experiences combining analogue cinema and sound creation, using the Moviola, 35mm film stock, and a sound system lent and enhanced by CineGlobe.

The Events

🎬 Electro-Acoustic Workshop – Create sound by drawing or scratching directly onto 35mm film, then listen to it through a moviola.
🎧 Cinema Without Images – Watch a film in daylight, listening to its sounds and voices to imagine your own visuals.📍 Bivouac b2
