Darkness Matters

Once, when I was a child, fireflies taught me that night can glow without being lit. From dusk till dawn, from one altitude to another, from olive groves in Tuscany to alpine meadows, from mountains and valleys in the Maritime Alps into the Milky Way. Twilight and nocturnal animals,  Peaceful in their habitats … what we see and what they see, as distorted as it may look. We still can decide not to let their and our nights to be washed away. Let darkness embrace you.
