CONGRATULATIONS TO CAROLINE FISCHER!

CineGlobe, the International Film Festival at CERN, is very pleased to announce the winner of the contest “Making the CineGlobe Poster” For its fourth edition, launched in November 2013.

The team of the festival, which will take place from March 18 to 23 at the Globe of Science and Innovation at CERN, was really impressed and inspired by the many projects submitted for the contest. After several weeks of deliberations, the jury decided on a project that calls for a cinematic experience beyond the frontier!

The challenge was executed with great success by Caroline Fischer, designer at Atelier Graphique CANA based in Geneva. She proposed a design of a constellation of popcorn at the heart of our universe!

Caroline explains: “I wanted to represent science and film equally while incorporating the theme of the year 2014 ‘Beyond the Frontier.’ It is natural that the link is made with the starry sky. Space represents no border, it allows one to imagine all the possibilities without limits. Science remains full of unknown areas, prompting the researchers to want to know more. The link with film is made by the popcorn bag made of stars that form a new constellation; it is the centre element of the design, while being indispensable during a projection. You are free to choose whether sweet or savory!”

The second prize was awarded to Lam Pui Kei

And the third prize was awarded to Odetta Tuduri

The team CineGlobe warmly thanks all professionals and amateurs who participated in this contest for their wonderful inspiration!!
