Festival Programme 2024

CineGlobe 2024

The 13th edition of CineGlobe, the international festival of films inspired by Science will take place at CERN’s Science Portal from May 15 to 19, 2024!

Daytime or evening, weekday or weekend, there’s something for everyone! Discover the full program here.

Short Films

This year, out of almost 750 short films received for all categories (Fiction, Documentary, Youth and Immersive), 39 are currently in the official selection. In each category, the short films selected are in the running for the Jury Prize and/or the Audience Prize

From Wednesday to Saturday, you can watch :

– The Fiction and Documentary categories: all the short films in both categories have been divided into six programs, which are screened each day in Auditorium A (Theatre)

– The Youth category: one session per day in Auditorium A (Theatre).

– The “Immersive” category awaits you in the large immersive zone next to the main auditorium.

You’ll be able to rate the films you see, and help decide which short films win the Audience Award in each category. On Sunday, after the Awards Ceremony, the audience and jury favorites will be screened in Auditorium A, so you can see (or re-see) the best of the festival!

Familiarize yourself with the basic principles of filmmaking by taking part in our Tetra Pak Camera and Moviola Animation workshops! In the latter, handle real 35 mm film, rework the images one by one, then visualize the resulting animation using a Moviola projector. In the Tetra Pak Camera workshop, you’ll build your own pinhole camera and learn how to develop photos with coffee and vitamin C. Places are extremely limited, so book as soon as possible. To get the most out of CineGlobe, don’t hesitate to combine a workshop with a screening of short films!

Special evenings and features
