Less than a month to go! A host of CineGlobe events will soon light up the Globe of Science and Innovation and the park of the Perle du Lac. Open air screenings, workshops and special evenings, all accessible to both French and English speakers. Here’s a little taster of the fun to come:
Get set for a futuristic challenge
Can you make a sci-fi 360 virtual reality film – in only 48 hours?? Register your team today for this rollercoaster adventure over the last weekend of June. All films will be shown to audiences in 16:9 on the big screen and on VR headsets during a special evening. Drinks are on us!
Meet our robot jury member
With a team of scientists and in collaboration with the first robot film festival, ROS in Spain, we’ve developed a true artificial intelligence which will be a member of the official (otherwise human) jury. It’s inclusion in the jury is playful but also serious, raising questions about the limits– or lack thereof – of algorithms and IA.
Martian base
Two 360 domes will welcome events, screenings and VR projects. Teams from the NASA Mars simulation mission will share their experiences and screen their videos in the domes, at 360 degrees. The domes will also host other surprising films and events on space and sustainability.
Families
Get ready for aplethora of activities for kids both at CERN and at the Nuit de la Science on July 7 & 8. In the spirit of carnivals and travelling cinemas, the CineGlobe Cinéma Caravane will screen a series of shorts programmes for young and old. Come learn to programme robots in our workshops at the Perle du Lac – to make a short film inspired by Chinese shadow theatre!
Save the date: full programme will be announced mid-June!
