On the 17th March, in collaboration with the International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights the CineGlobe proposes the screening of The Invisible City [Kakuma] by Lieven Corthouts. The film is centered around the town of Kukuma, in Kenya, which is the biggest refugee camp in the world. Lieven Corthouts spent 4 years filming the lives of Nyakong, Claude and Khadijo, their dreams, their integration into this “invisible city” and their quest to find their parents.

Following the film screening, there will be a discussion entitled Humanitarian crises and new technologies: a revolution in the making ? conducted by Lieven Corthouts, Yves Daccord, Christopher Earney, Jean-Claude Bolay, Klaus Schönenberger, Gioia Deucher and Gaël Hurlimann. The discussion’s main theme will revolve around how big humanitarian organizations are affected by the advent of new technology, and on its positive and negative consequences.
