Casting call performers

Actors wanted for an experimental theatre project as part of CineGlobe and GIFF (Geneva).

Project description: We are looking for 4 actors of all ages and backgrounds to interpret the Google data of a real person. Mauvais Je(u)x is a project by the Gruppe Laokoon in collaboration with a data analyst.

Profiles sought: Alongside the casting of the actors, there will be a call for participants ready to share their personal Google data. From the files collected, only one will be chosen. We are looking for 4 different actor profiles, who each will create their own interpretation of said data. Beyond physical similarities, gender or age, the focus will be on biographical similarities and shared interests: on stage, each actor will interpret the data of this unknown person. In this way, the project hopes to give substance to supposedly neutral information (the data) to reveal the life and emotions it hides.

Requirements:

Experience in experimental theatre projects.
Ability to work with an artistic team and contribute creative ideas.
Availability in early November 2023 for rehearsals and performance (approximately 2 weeks).
Openness to artistic exploration and experimentation.
Fluency in spoken and written French.

Dates and venues: If you are interested in the project and fit the profile we are looking for, we would love to meet you during an e-call. Following a pre-selection process, after which you will be offered a practical distance exercise (during September), 4 participants will be selected to take part in the project.
